CHRISTMAS 2011

NOTE:  Photos can be enlarged by clicking on them.

(At Sheila's request, there will be no photos of her on this blog.)

The 3 Mells had a late Christmas celebration with the 3 Harrisons on Vancouver Island in early January 2011.

When we arrived, Bev was so excited about the alarm on top of the TV that goes off with a whirling red light whenever the Canucks score a goal -- just like at the games.

A fun gift from his grandson that just delighted this kid-at-heart.

Here's Joan opening a present for Max, who looks unimpressed.

These two are really close buddies.

While we were at church, Laurie & Sheila (with her beagle Maxine) arrived. What a total surprise! Rod & I truly had no idea. Joan and Sheila had cooked this up. Great to see my daughters again.

Everyone teases me that on special occasions I usually travel with a camera. So of course I had to take family photos (or have them taken in some cases).

The hosts with a great spread. Joan made us an tasty traditional Christmas dinner.

Our handsome clean-up crew.

PS from Buddy.

Rod (I call him Daddy) set up this blog. As you see, Sandra (Mommy) does most of the typing, so I'll just add a bit here. I'm working hard to get my paws around the keyboard. Mommy sometimes overlooks her furry friends. We didn't get much hype above, so here's some more.

This is Max, a handsome Shepherd cross, whose people are Joan and Bev. He's a mature dog and very patient with all the people and dogs in his territory.

Sheila's Maxine is a beautiful female beagle. She's very independent, and we fellows let her have her way. Isn't that what humans do???? Here she is lounging on Max's big bed.

Max and I are part of the all-male clean-up crew.

And this is me, when we've all been fed and watered, asleep on Mommy's slippers.
